Appointed by Network Rail to undertake noise and vibration monitoring at two properties located either side of Broad oak Crossing. A second track was being constructed and monitoring of potential increase in noise levels during construction and following the opening of the second line was required.
In addition due to the use of vibration methodology to place and compact the ballast and sleepers for the new track vibration monitoring was required. Recording units were placed at two locations at two properties; either side of the tracks. Monitoring was undertaken continuously for approximately eight weeks.
